I haven’t read the entire thread. But I’d say 80% of all Harley riders give the low wave. And probably 75% of all others wave. Maybe it’s a San Diego thing.

Im starting to go out of my way to wave at motor Leo’s...Im at about 50% on that. Higher when I have my PGR flags and vest.

 

The only hand stuff that matters is a head tap or universal "keep it low" if cops ahead... I always give the heads up on that to riders who could use the heads up. Other then that Ill wave if the other guy does 1st. Whether on my Jeep, HDs or Yamaha. Otherwise could care less.
