Why don't folks wave to Harley's ?

I wave at anything with a motor and two tandem wheels (and NO, I'm not into butt sex ROTFL!) regardless of which bike I'm on. And I don't give a ch!t if they wave back, although I will and HAVE stopped for bikes pulled over on the roadside to see if they need help (happens a LOT to visitors to the NJ Pine Barrens needing directions).

I was thinking snow storm myself.
Stated earlier - had a Jeep guy get all bent because people weren't waving. Made me think a little and I found there are lots of thing in common between Jeep groups and the Harley world.
Both groups have people who have been around for a long time, before it was the cool thing, and had a great time with others of the same interest.
THEN - people came along trying to be like them - vest and patches, or stickers and decals.
I've never had a "Biker" or Rock Crawler/Mud Monster, ever show concern about being waved at.
There are Poindexters and Mall Crawlers. It's a complicated world.

As I age, certain things people do or don't doesn't intrigue me
it pi55es me off .
every year I lose more patience/tolerance of stupid people...
the "wave"?
meh...
if someone waves, I give 'em a salute back because I'm not an uncourteous pr1ck.....just a curmudgeon
I'm curious though, how you determined it was just Harley riders they don't wave to?
unless you followed him and saw him wave at "non" Harley bikes, it's more likely he (and other non wavers) just don't wave

Aside from road manners, the wave has always been a signal that the road ahead is clear for the oncoming rider. If there is a speed trap you just passed...there’s a signal...an accident or road hazard....there’s a signal....
If it’s all clear....that’s a wave, or peace sign, or thumbs up or whatever you want. Just a courtesy road condition report to another rider. Not the end of the world, but can save someone else a world of hurt.
