Default Today’s ride, Jones Hole National Fish Hatchery

The Hatchery is NW of Vernal. Go out 500 N, past the dump, cross Brush Creek and up an over Diamond Mt. You top out at 7,400’ and drop to the canyon floor at 5,500’. Lots of history from ancient Fremont Indians to Butch and the Wild Bunch.

Lots of PJ pinion and juniper

Just off the left side of this photo would be where hey 191 comes down the switchbacks to Vernal

Start of the canyons

The Hatchery is in the bottom. The green river is just beyond the tallest peak.

Already trying to swim upstream

Diamond Mt plateau

On the “rim” looking south . You can see a little of Vernal,UT in the top right

Looking west from the Diamond Mt rim towards Red Fleet reservoir

Very nice scenery. I like the fact you don't put your bike in every picture like some folks do in their ride pictures. Thanks for sharing.

There is a fishery in GA. near Lake Burton that we stop at when we ride thru the area. My brother in law said you can tell the fish raised in the fishery from the wild ones because the raised fish have flat fins from dragging the concrete in the fishery....

Thanks for sharing that. Just got out of the hospital yesterday and that was a nice little pick me up.
