If it makes ya happy, get it. But if it's the color you want, you know you can get a bike painted any way you want. You've mentioned features you wanted that this bike doesn't have - don't let a colour make your decision. Get the bike with the functionality you want, otherwise you'll be wanting to upgrade again. But, if you can live without some of the bells and whistles and this bike speaks to you - then get it girl!

Get the Blue '08 SERK with ABS... That to me is a no brainer!! Plus by time one comes around you'll probably be ready

Hey Bev why dont you sell your Deluxe and take the money to buy the bike you want? No doubt you could get a good price for your bike in the private market rather the pain of a trade in.
