I'm happy I bought an '06 and not an '07 and now that the '08's are released I'm even happier.

You would probably get more support from the guys that post in the Primary/Transmission/Driveline/Clutchsection of the forum. I don't really think that a boycott is the answer. Most people are happy with their bikes, me included. Sorry that you happened to get a bike with all the problems.
