It stems from a change in ambient tempetures. Mine has done it from the get go, especially when I pull it from the garage. No real worries there just something to adapt to. Now, if your speedo starts acting up then there may be a problem.

It's like breathing on your shades before cleaning them to fog them up. Temp difference cuases condensation unless the speedo it hermetically sealed (and it's not) there will be some slight level of moisture in there that will act up. If you actuall see droplets of water then you have a greater reason for concern as corrosion will begin to effcet operation. Light fogging...no big deal.

It's one of those things that tie modern Harley's to ancient Harley's. Don't touch it...

I just posted this on another thread (and it may post twice here, because it didn't load the first time:

We get them in the shop all the time like that, you will also find that your fuel gauge will fill up with condensation. HD will not admit that it's a problem and refuse to fix them. Since they out-source their speedo and fuel gauges, it's an easy fix.....find a new manufacturer. I have found a way to get the glass off and clean it on the speedo, then it's good for about 5 to 8 weeks (depending on where you live, how much riding and washing, etc) before you need to do it again.
