The article says 95 miles highway range. From what I recall previous statements by the MoCo it was 146 miles city, 70 miles highway, and 95 miles combined driving range.

They did get this part right:
the LiveWire is set to be a polarizing next-generation bike.
The livewire is a polarizing bike.

I'm planning on going to a demo ride this Friday for the Livewire. I'll video and take lots of pictures, give you all a report this weekend.

I like the Livewire, the 95 mile combined highway and city range would be just enough for my daily commute. I wouldn't own one as my only bike, but as a commuter it would be a lot of fun. I would really consider buying one if the price was reasonable. But for $39,000 I can get a standard rear wheel drive Tesla Model 3 with greater range, better charging infrastructure, faster charging time, ability to charge on a level II charger at my home or office, nice comfort, Air conditioning, heat, cruise control, power windows, power locks, seating for 5, ect….

If the Livewire was under $15,000 I would probably buy one for commuting. But I just don't see $30,000 of value for me. And I think that will be Harley's problem, they are still in the mode of selling a lifestyle and the people buying electric vehicles aren't buying them for the Harley lifestyle.

Default LiveWire

No offence but what was the dealers allotment of live wires for the year ? To be honest what makes the live wire a Harley anyway ? Slapping a Harley badge on a big battery pack and saying it's a Harley ? IMHO electric motorcycles, bicycles are on pair with appliances. There is no " soul " in any electrical bike, no vibration, no mechanical or exhaust noise, no smell of fuel or oils no vibrations, no V-twin rumble, Nothing. Harley could put their name on an electric drill or blender and it would be the level of excitement the live wire generates for me anyway.

How many bikes is their allotment?

I'm guessing single digits.
