Speedometer MPH / KPH - odometer changes
I知 currently in the US but will be moving back to Australia next year and by law you must have a KPH Speedo plus odometer on your bike. I知 looking at buying a HD combo speedometer https://mstore.harley-davidson.com/s...10-70900171--1
amd was wondering if anyone has installed and whether you can toggle the odometer from MPH to KPH on the device? I did speak to a local dealer but they were a bit sketchy as to whether this could be done. Only other options are to wait and install the KPH version when back (but $$ increase). Or possibly a digital version.
Wondering if anyone has had to do similar or know if this can be done?

it says in the installation instructions
"Press and hold the "Trip" reset switch to toggle between the "mile" and "kilo" displays."
I would assume that's the answer you're looking for. Good luck, maybe someone that has one already can answer it definitively. You can also ask a question on the product website, maybe one of their techs will answer it.

KPH Speedo
Bukkers,
I've got the same issue only in reverse. I'm heading back to the states from Canada and will possibly need to change my speedo from KPH to MPH.
I've listed a couple of places where you can purchase stick-on decals to place on your existing speedo ( if that's allowed in Australia).
The folks are correct, changing the odometer to kilometers is pretty simple. Unfortunately, the speedo can't be changed.
Good luck.

Harleys have been around for many years.
Not all of them are the same.
Not all parts are interchangeable.
A year and model may help.
For example up until about 2003 the mileage was stored in speedometer only and when a speedometer was changed the old information did not transfer.
It required factory to send speedometer with miles added.
Can Bus is different in that mileage can transfer from old speedometer to a brand new zero mile speedometer from same time period but then locks speedometer to ecm after a certain number of miles.
