I pulled a tank from a 99 sporty tank and the bottom of tank was signed ? Don’t know who or why ? Anyone have an idea? This bike was bought from Harley in 1999 and been in a sports bar hung up on a carousel till I bought it ..

Maybe by whoever painted it or did the art work on it ? Another option could be someone at the assembly plant.

Last time I had a bike painted the painter signed the tank but on top, not bottom. Actually he signed it the name of his shop, not his name.

All my BMW body panels (motorcycle) had the signatures of the person(s) inside that painted/finished the panels. I think it is sort of cool myself.

I think having the assembler/QA persons sign their work would improve initial quality of the item out the door.

There was a person back in the 60's that did pinstriping and would sign his work with two footprint.

Maybe someone from the bar where it was "hung up on a carousel" signed it. Someone playing in a band or something maybe. Wonder what the "UA" stands for. Figure that out and you might have a good clue.

Now here is something really strange. Wife and I were getting something to eat a a restaurant and I ran into the painter. Pretty strange...
