I'm sure there are other brands, but I like the Custom Dynamics stuff.
Thank you, sir. My HD riding coach mentioned he uses one.

You're welcome. It's not a bad price to pay to (hopefully) increase visibility of you when stopping.

Same here. The BAL-1 is a much brighter light than the stock light and three flashes for me is just right.

BAL 2, think it's 4 then locks. I find myself touching the brake to give them warning

Ditto on the BAL-1
Any bike that doesn't have LED lights will benefit greatly from upgrading to LED. flashing an incandescent lamp just isn't as effective as an attention getter.
The BAL is very bright (noticeable in daylight) and easy to change the pattern with just a magnet.
I use the 3 flash-solid pattern.

Default Brake light flash/stobe pattern.

I use the setting that gives several seconds of quick succession strobe and then to solid. It's gets me the attention I deserve. Custom Dynamics unit.

I just installed my Custom Dynamics Triple Play this past weekend. I left it at the default, four blinks, then solid. With more experience, might change, but for now I steered away from what I thought my be too complicated and confusing to other drivers, i.e. wondering if this was a light display or is this 2 wheel target stopping?

In my town, I also have to consider that MC lights may just be an enhanced form of target acquisition for all the idiot drivers.
