Thnaks Guys - From what I am reading, one can use these methods (0000 Steel Wool, Lemon Pledge, Mother's Mag Polish), on the chromed exhaust shields as well? Or is it best just to wipe down with soapy water and towel dry with a soft chamois?
What about the chromed rear wheel of the FXSTC?
best

I don't think the rear wheel is chromed on the fxstc, at least mine isn't. Did a test with simichrome polish and it definately turned the towel black. This is after I removed all brake dust. Many products out there for polished aluminum like Flitz, Autosol, Simichrome . Don't use a circular motion when doing this, but travel around the rim.

I just finished cleaning my bike a few hours ago and I used plain old Turtle Wax Chrome Polish. It works great, got all the marks and water spots off. The best thing is it's cheaper than most of the other "fancy" polishes.
