I’ve been to York factory many times but never around the release date of new models. I’m really hoping to get a quick look at the actual colors and wondering if they might ever display their entire line at the factory on the reveal date. I guess sometime in August, the 20th or 21st I think I saw somewhere. Anyone know if HD might do this at York on that day?

plus... I thought the York plant was shut down for a couple weeks just prior to release. I just checked their site and plant is open except for a couple random days over the summer.

 

I thought the reveal was always at surgis.

 

Hasn't been at Sturgis for a few years, now it is at the Dealer Meeting in late Aug. OP, I have never heard of York having a display

 

Just was at York last week. Some limited tin production going on. Mainly doing conversion for all of the new bike models that will be built there. Limited tours, no steel toe tour.

Never have heard of them doing a display.

 

Ive never heard of it. Besides, Harley wants you to check the new bikes out at your dealer.

Isn’t that the whole point of new models? To drive foot traffic to the dealer?

 

Always at the dealer meeting for as long as I can remember. They are not going to steal the thunder away from the dealers by showing elsewhere I bet.

There is no such revealing of the new models at the York plant but that is a great idea and maybe a better time for the annual Open House event that is held in late September. They started assembling the 2020's this week and typically will not have any factory tours until the new models are revealed at dealer show in late August. The bikes will soon start shipping across the country to the dealers and stay hidden so that the day after the show they can put them on the floor.
