Todays ride, Harpers Corner Rd.
Rode over to Dinosaur, Colorado this morning and turned north on the Harpers Corner Rd.. It’s a 30 mile ride to the end sof the road and views I would put up against any other. There are several pull outs and picnic areas to stop and enjoy the scenery. To the east is the Yampa River Canyon, I posted back in early May about a raft trip we did on this river. Coming in from the north is the Green River and the confluence is hidden behind Steamboat Rock in my pictures. At the end of the road is a short, 3 mile round trip hike that ends over looking the rivers and Echo Park. At river level on the east side of Steamboat Rock you can get 4 echos easily.
Not many know of this ride ride but it really is a hidden gem.
On top of the views the Cicada we hatching and flying about. One even landed on my leg .

Amazing number of Cicada shells in the trees
This guy landed on me and climbed up to my shirt.
Not many know of this ride ride but it really is a hidden gem.
On top of the views the Cicada we hatching and flying about. One even landed on my leg .
