Now found the security module behind the battery next to the rear wheel , Looking at the wiring diagram I wondered if the mistake I made could have killed the circuit that feeds the starter relay thro the green wire. ? SO my fix has bypassed this fried circuit? So i am going to try a new starter relay then If not fixed try bridge the BLACK /red stripe over to green . But would welcome any views on this solution.

The TSSM, Turn Signal Security Module provides the ground for the starter relay with the TN/GN. Push the start button and BK/R puts 12V to the coil of the relay and the TN/GN takes it to ground through the TSSM so the coil can energize and pull in the contacts to let 12V from the R/BK go to GN to energize the solenoid.

Is the security fuse blown?

If the security fuse is amongst the rest of the 15amp fuses on the main board then yes they are all ok. But what you have suggested is worth trying so will update when I can get back to my workshop . thanks

What I struggle with is , I have managed to start the bike by running a live feed from the battery via a bell button to the green wire that plugs into the starter relay, So when i press the bell button the bike starts. So I am feeding 12v thou the green wire / and that in turn feeds the starter motor . So whats been suggested is grounding the green wire ? would that not cause a short circuit? I suppose i would have to remove my fix. Sorry to be a bit thick.

With the info so far and what Vernal has mentioned. Ck the TSSM fuse and make sure it is powering up. You might consider grounding the TN/GN wire off the relay and see what happens.

This would sux bad but could a bad fob battery or fob create this problem??

Do NOT ground green wire . You are correct

Use your fix wire to provide a ground for the TN/GN wire going from the relay to the TSSM.
Straight wire no button tho

Everything else on the bike works as it should , Fob mobilises the bike in the start up cycle so is all ok . In fact with the Bodge button fitted everything works as it should.

When you push the start button the coil in the relay should energize, have current pass through it to ground. This creates a magnetic field which "pulls in" the contacts that allows the R/BK to become common to the Green going to the solenoid. For some reason the TN/GN is not going to ground.

With ignition on Check the TN/GN wire at the start relay socket for continuity to ground. Pull the connector at the TSSM and check continuity between the connector and socket.

Do your turn signals work?

Replace the fuses just for the heck of it.
