Harley street bob 2016 unknown starting issue
I have street bob 2016. Yesterday I was out left my bike parked on the street. She didn't start, then i had to jump start from a car somehow. Came back home checked the battery its showing 14 volts. fob battery is okay. What could be the problem? I also have one past history of stalling with this bike, had taken to the dealer but they couldn't find out the problem. I know this would be the same case now if I take it to the dealer, they won't identify the real problem. Should I change the battery, which is 3 years old? Please someone help me, I am desperate.
Thank you in advance

When you say it doesn't start, does the starter turn over the motor and it won't fire, or do you not get any starter action at all?
I would check the battery terminals, both at the battery and the ground connection. If they're good, then load test the battery. It might show good sitting voltage but under load it might not be enough.
Check all fuses and relays to make sure the contacts are clean.

Hi thanks for posting!
It turned over the engine but didn’t start. It is starting fine now and the battery is showing 14 volts and when starting shows 12 volt. I am going to check the wires tonight. I am going on a long trip. I am very worried. You mentioned about checking the relay. How do I check it?

All the fuses and relays are behind the cover on the left of the bike. If you're going on a long ride I would suggest you get familiar with it, and go over your owner's manual as well.

Hi, thanks do you happen to know any links to learn how to get test those fuses and relays? Do I need a test light? And yes, I found the fuse box on the left side of the bike. That owner's manual can be downloaded for free online?
Thank you again

I had the stealer-ship do 5 batt tests on their bullshit tester and was told narrr it’s fine.
The stock bat lasted 3 months passed the warranty, and the last ride it started to turn over then stalled.
Second stab on the button got it going but 50 miles from home I thought **** on that and ordered a new Yuasa.
Thouse ******** at Harley sure know how to screw ya for a buck.
