I have a 1997 Harley road king l. Looking to install a integrated tail light. It has a tail light mounting plate that protrudes. So I purchased a light that screws into pre existing bulb adapter. It stays on constant. Anyone else have this issue? Looking for some advice.

You either have the bulb "adapter" installed wrong, or your front brake switch is broken keeping the brake light on. Remove the bulb adapter and install it 180 degrees from where it is now

 

Tail light was wired backwards crossed the red with green and geeen with red. Working fine now just for some modifications
