You can see that I went with the SE II's also and glad I did. This machine sounds just the way I want it to right now. That's a fact!

That's what's so cool about this hobby.....we can all do our own thing, and still be on the same page. 
When I picked up my Superglide in June of this year, I rode it home, and I thought it sounded great! But the dealer gave me a $1,000 store credit, so I got the S&S mufflers, strictly for PERFORMANCE!! I could care less if they're louder or not. Come to find out they're very loud!![&:] Most of the mods I've done to my little Superglide have been for performance with the exception of the front fender and rear springs (a dropped tail just looks so smooth......). If I got another HOG, it would be either a Ultra or a Road Glide and I'd leave the bike 100% stock, and just enjoy the music! But my Sueprglide is my little hotrod, so someday I'll have both and have the best of both worlds!!!
If you like the stock pipes, I say leave 'em on!!! Do what YOU LIKE!!!! People need to quit worryin' about if the next guy thinks it's cool......doing what you want is what is cool, and REAL riders will respect/appreciate that!
If you're a RUB get out and ride, and the RUB will fall off like magic!!!!!

I'm just glad harley's don't get the "rice" treatment. I don't think I've ever seen a harley with stickers plastered all over it about what may or may not be installed on it, no coffee can exhausts, and posers sporting "screamin' eagle" edition badges on a stock ride ala the "Cobra" emblems on a V6 mustang.

I'm going for the thunderheader 2 into 1 for my '06 XLR 1200 when I do the stage one. Great sound and in keeping with the first sportsters. My neighbor buddies are envious......

I know this question has been asked 1,000 times...but I just want to understand what I've read. If I install SEII slip ons and get the SE Air kit I will have to have my carb re-jetted...correct? Or atleast I should take it in and have them rejet it. '06 XL1200c
