Anyone hear anything about the 2008 Peace Officer Edition? Driving me nuts waiting. I know its the 100th aniversery and they were going to do something special....just dont know what.[sm=smiley21.gif]

 

MoCo has yet to release anything on the Firefighter and LEO editions for '08.

 

Haven't heard squat from HD, and one of our motor officers is a part time wrench at the Dealer. He specifically held off on buying, as he is wanting to see what they do for the 100th anniversary of producing Police bikes.

I was in the same boat last year when I bought. I went to go look and the dealer had a 2007 Ultra Classic in the FireFighter and Peace Officer edition. There was nothing on the website regarding the special editions unitl a few weeks later. When I was told what the difference in price was going to be between the 06 I was looking at and what it was going to cost to add stage 1 and exhaust etc.. I came out way ahead buying the 06 Ultra that I did. When I bought my Firefighter edition Road King in 2002 I paid $14,000. One other dealer told me that they take care of firemen and police officers and i could their FF editon or Peace officer edition for 19,700. There was no discount to be found in the Dallas/Ft.Worth area on either special edition this time last year. So I bought the Vivid black.

I was told by my local stealer to check with them after july 19th. I could not wait.

 

Don't know if the local dealer (Topeka HD) is going to extend any LEO discounts for the 08 models, but for the 07 models, they quoted me 18,900 for a new POE Ultra.

 

I didn't realize there was going to be an anniversary special in '08. It will be interesting to see what they do. I'm happy with my '07 though. Price out the door was $18,700.00.

 

If they have a 100th Anniversary POSE Edition it is going to be 5 years old.
