Other than that, it's perfect. To be sure, the Diavel has some polarizing looks. But, you won't be looking at it long if the rider decides to leave anyone on a Harley for dead. As a couple of guys have said; Harley is my brand but they've done heavy, under sprung, low ground clearance, slack head tube angle, forward controls and under performing engines for too much money to DEATH. Maybe their own.

I was on the Cherohala loop and I saw what I believe was a new diavel just leaving a rest stop. I may be old but I sure loved the sound and the ***** that bike showed as the rider rowed the gears.I can see why people like them but- they don’t have the cool T-shirt’s that Harley does ....
I just rode from San Diego to Maggie Valley to home. I don’t remember any hwy where traffic was only rolling 65 unless there was a Swift tractor trailer blocking the road. My Road King is no slouch but there were times that I could have used more grunt. I’ve ridden Wings, Connie’s and rented a FJR but I don’t think I could have had a more enjoyable experience than on my rk.

It is a muscle cruiser. Not a sport bikes, so it is serving its purpose as claimed. I personally like the FXDR and would not mind having one. I have a modded ZX14R to get stupid fast on.

Although I agree, it's not the point. Harley Davidson is advertising and pricing the FXDR as one of the best "performance" cruisers made. Heck even the Indian FTR 1200s would smoke it (with the same skill level of rider) and cost thousands less.

Yes the Diavel is fugly but they provide cutting edge race track level performance and parts that you can ride all day for less than the MSRP of a FXDR. Some Harley Dealers actually want sticker bump for it. Then the buyer turns around and pays the HD dealer thousands to make the FXDR a little less fugly.

I wanted HD to provide greater performance than the competition not greater price only. I'm very disappointed because I would have bought one had they delivered. The 114 Fat Bob is the only one I would consider as it performs just as good for thousands less.
