Default Painting Tyre Lettering

Anyone coloured in the lettering on their tyres with a paint pen. Thinking gold (or white) to go with my FXDLS. Any pics would be helpful. If I didn’t like it after I was done, what is the best way to get it off. Would mineral turpentine harm your tyres? Any other suggestions that would get it off. Thanks in advance👍🏼

Why give yourself something else to maintain? Yes turp will harm the tires a little and the paint will run.
There's tire lettering paint, if you must. Just do it and let it wear off.

Tried it on an old car tyre with turps and it came off great. Just wasn’t sure what it may do to the tyre in the long run. Thanks for your comment. Appreciate it👍🏼

White lettering tires is fairly popular around here. Spray paint or just brushing seems to be the favored medium and it lasts quite awhile.

Here's mine...

Prep is key. I scrub the lettering with Westley's Bleche-Wite several times to clean off the oils etc. I use Sharpie oil based paint pens. You can get them in four sizes. Skip the extra-fine - they never work.

To each his own. I don't care for it and did not like it back in the day on cars, either.

More trouble than it's worth, and about as useful as engraving a shovel.
When you're riding, no one can read it anyway.

The FX was made for raised white letters on the tires. Great 70's look.

OP post pictures when you're done.
