I have a 2006 Electra glide, the tour pack was blocking my license plate, I discovered that I can’t tight the 2 bolts enough to keep it in place. This isn’t a quick detach setup.

There is 1 bolt on each side and a metal spacer/washer that’s it.
Am I missing something?

 

You mean the top support tube, where it attaches to the frame? It is just a bolt on each side that goes into weld nuts. However, the license plate bracket supports the rear of the tour pak and is attached to the underneath of the tour pak. I can’t understand how your tour pak can be sagging and blocking the plate. Do you have the stock plate mount/support or is it something else?

 

This is my first touring bike. Bought it used and the pack wasn’t attached. The license plate was just bolted to the chrome. I purchased an aftermarket frame. I didn’t know there was anything else to stabilize the pack. I tried searching the net but couldn’t find anything on it.
