Default Vance & Hines Longshots

Thinking of getting the V& H Longshots for my Softail Deluxe. Any owners of these pipes that could shed a bit of light as to their performance, sound, etc? Thanks.

I had a set on an 02 Fatboy. They were great. It was a carb with stage one. The sound was just what a Harley is supposed to sound like. I never had it on a dyno.

I have a buddy that had an 03 Heritage EFI with stock exhaust. He said there was a notible difference in the torque on the two bikes. I can't tell you if it was due to the exhaust, stage 1, or just a stronger engine.

My wife still points out how much better she liked the sound of the Fatboy in comparison to the Electraglide.

I have V&H Straightshot HS. I think they sound great. They are on my 05 Wide Glide. As far as power, I think the bike runs much better with the pipes and Stage 1 download.

I like the looks and sound of their 2in1 exhaust.

Son and his wife put the V&H Longshots on their Softail Standard and Sportie. Both are carb'd so they did the stage 1. Both bikes sound great (not as good as my Pythons) and they say they run better. Ya gotta get rid of the stock pipes!

I put V&H Longshots HS on my 05 Deluxe. The sound is just what I was looking for with the quiet baffles in.

that's what I put on my 06 Softail Heritage Classic - Personally, I really like them - the sound can be perceived as a little loud but that is the way I wanted them. Posted on another thread - I did set off the ADT house alarm today - I started her up in the driveway..don't know what is different about today vs all the other days, but today - it set off the house alarm. When the ADT control center called, had to sheepishly tell them it wasn't due to anyone breaking in - I just started my motorcycle too close to the house.

i think the longshots HS look better on the deluxe. IMHO the straight cut on the end of the longshots don't suit the look of the deluxe.
email if you want some pics.

I run Vance&Hines Bigshots Staggered on my LowRider with Stage I ..........never heard a set of pipes I liked better.....not grotesquely loud but they sure turn peoples heads.............gives the bike real attitude and the perofrmance to more than match it.
