Well, I like the bike colors !! Couldn't care less about it being 105 Anniversary or collectable. But when I saw the copper and black, 200mm tire, 96ci and 6 speed it sold me. I have 1100 miles on her in one month and can't wait to go tomorrow. Very Cool bike. Also saves me on a custom paint job!!! This equals more mods

I went to the Dealer Demo Ride Event at Westminster HD last weekend and had an absolute blast. I rode 6 different bikes and the two that impressed me the most were the V-Rod which I had never ridden before and the CVO Springer Softail. The Copper/Black color scheme and 105 badge is not my top choice in colors that's for sure, but I've seen much worse.

Yeah, I like the Crimson red.

Been thinking of buying a solid color and having local paint shop make it up like a factory two tone but in colors of my choice.

I really like theCustom Chopper Blue / Brilliant Silver...I'd like to see that in blue / white with micro blue flake (I think it's called "Arctic White?")

White/Red?

Gold Flake/White?

Teal/White?

Green/White?

Black/Candy Orange?

Red/Tan w/retro logo?

I like two tone but I think the grey compliment is dull althoughblack/red or black/blue looks cool.

The two tone light/dark green was like...whoa, what were they thinking???

Now, green and tan would be cool retro look on the Softail Heritage...

12-17-2007: Hype. Nevertheless, I went out and bought a XL 1200 105th Anniversary anyway because I like the colors - though sharp candy orange/black would've been even better.

I am waiting for the 113 & 1/2 anniversaryedition now...should come in tie dye t-shirt 60's psychodelic...

I plan on buying one in the spring, not because it's a 105th or the color. It's just that is the time when I will be abile to afford one, and thats whats it's gonna be. The color has grown on me though.

Don't believe in paying the extra money for a few trinkets or doodaads!

I like the 105 colors and badging but every 5 years is a bit much.Still,I have fallen in love with the 105 Deluxe.

ORIGINAL: tda69

ORIGINAL: Time2ride

The badging wouldn't matter one way or the other if I wanted that particular bike, unless the anniversary model was priced higher, then I'd pass. The 03 anniversary bikes seem to be a dime a dozen- I see them everywhere, and the used ones at the dealer don't seem to demand a premium.
Someday though, all Harleys as we know them now will be worth big bucks.
Considering that '03 was only 4 short years ago, I'm not surprised you see them everywhere. But I can guarantee you, there are fewer '03 bikes on the road than all the other years put together. From this I conclude, since there was only one 100th Year Anniversary for HD the '03 bikes will become harder to find as more time goes by. Hence the value on those bikes should go up more. On the other hand, if HD is going to crank out Anniversary bikes every 5 years, it probably won't do anything, or very little for resale values. Every 5 years is just too much. Don't you think?
Value of used Harley's (100th or not) to go up to what? Maybe they just won't fall as fast. Hell, just look at what the 07's (95/6 and price decrease) did to us 06's and earlier. I have an 05' FXDL with low miles and mucho accessories (chrome forks, complete Stage I, etc.). I would be damn lucky to get 1/2 of my money back now. However, I have no plans to sell it and when I do, I figure the loss will simply be the "cost of the ride."

I personally like the look of the 105th Anniv. bikes. I like the copper/black seats and the mix of copper/chrome on the sides of the bike.

I've never bought a bike looking at the re-sale value...I never intended to sell. Just rebuild the engine and get a new paint job when it got really old (twenty years plus).

My first two bikes (1980 Honda CB 650 / 1987 Softail Heritage Classic) I was pretty much forced to sell due to unexpected financial hardships. I'dstill have them to this day if I could've afforded it.

My third bike (1994 XL 883 / dealer installed 1200 kit)I was gonna give away as it's in serious need of repairs. I offered it to my brother;he's a car crazy gear head so I figure'd he'd appreciate it and bring it back from the dead...but he didn't want it.

So now I'mleaning more and more to restoring myself just for the fun of it.Hey, in ten years it'll be a twenty year old bike! Idig old bikes! But NOW I can take my time repairing itas I have an auxillary ride(my 2008 XL 1200)! So havingthe '94 in dry dockdoesn't mean beingstrandedunableto ride anymore!

If possible, myplan is to still beriding my 2008 twenty years from now. And if possible, thirty years from now.

Man, I wish I'd a kept the '87 Heritage...maybe if I get ahead money wise...I'llget another one someday!A decent used 2002 Heritagewould be fine by me...

Whazza fun in that? Why have vanilla when you can have toffee marble crunch? Trinket and doodad collectors UNITE!
