Default 2019 SGS Windshield

Just picked up Red Denim SGS this weekend, coming off a 2016 Ultra low. Couple things I noticed bars are too low and shield allows too much air. I think the stock windshield on the 19 is 4 or 4.5", I'm 6'0 So i eat alot of wind on it. Never had to replace a windshield so not really familiar with what most do. Was looking at klockwerks or LRS, was wondering if anyone could give me some recommendations as far as height..was think somewhere between 6.5 and 8

I just installed a 8" Clear Freedom Recurve on my brand new '19 SGS. I'm 5'-6 and use a H-D Reach seat that gets me lower to the ground. I can still look over the 8" shield and get almost no wind in my face and no helmet buffeting. I can actually ride at local highway speeds with the face shield up on my 3/4 helmet with out any buffeting. I can also wear my metal frame prescription sunglasses with my half helmet and again no problems with wind. Good price and great service from Freedom Shields.

I also getting ready to change my bars to a set of H-D Reach HB's. I need them to come back toward me and maybe up a little so I can sit up straight and still have a little bend in my elbows. With the stock bars I wind up leaning forward to take the strain of my arms and that puts a strain on my back causing some degree of pain/ache.

If you are planning to change your HB's your self you might be interested in this youtube video:

yeah def. going to do bars, prob not going to do myself however..I don't trust myself to put back together lol. Atleast with the new bikes theres enough slack i don't have to get cables extended. That will cut down labor

I'm 5'9". I have a LRS Ultra Elite 8" in dark tint on my SGS. I think its the perfect height for me. It's also a really good functioning shield in my opinion. Its god that bend that pushes incoming air straight up so I get no buffeting at all.

A couple pics of the shield on my bike.
