The advice gained from this site has now ensured by beloved Lucielle now rumbles not rattles down the h/wy. The advice given regarding pushrod adjustment and what to do if you run soilds has ensured my 1978 FLH is on the road for our spring/sommer season. I was ready to rip the heads off expecting to spend a fortune. That and the help of quite possibly the only mechanic in Western Australia worth his salt (JIVER ). As soon as we met he told me the same thing the advice did.
This guy mainly concentrates on shovels and has a wealth of wisdom and the parts to match. I will do my best to post pics and a bit of verbage as my mates get there act together and start a few runs, parties etc. This will hopfully get a few of you to start thinking that Australia is somewhere i would like to visit. I would be happy to assist any of the members interested, with any aspect of a proposed trip. This can include advice both where to go and holw to get there, to accomidation, and would most certainly include quite a few parties, rides and a bloody good time. My wife and I are in our early forties, however the band of misfitts we ride with covers almost all ages. We are located in Perth Western Australia and I am sure there are others members In Australia, that would do the same. feel free to respond and give me your thoughts. We both lived in the united states for two years, only tree years ago. The amount of people we bumped into that would have loved and opportunity to do this was huge. So here is your chance, lets get talking.

Glad to hear that you think this forum is so good that every rider should join. I think that Australia has some great looking country and it would be fun to see it sometime, maybe after retirement. Who knows, by then there might not be very many airlines left the way that things are going. I've had the pleasure of meeting some other Aussies on this forum and I thought that they were all great people. Hope that you continue to enjoy the forum and enjoy the ride.
