Turtle Wax "Ice"?
Anybody seen the ads for this stuff? I have been beating my head everytime I try to clean and wax the bike its a royal pain in the a$$ to get all the white powder dust off afterwards.
So last night I'm channel surfing anda one or two second flash of aHarley gas tank catched my attention. So Istop surfing and hear themsay that Turtle Wax new "Ice" wax doesn't leave any of the white powder residue. Now they really have my undivided and rapt attention, the girl selling it isn't hard to look at either.
Like a lot of people Ihave used Turtle Wax products for a long time and have generally been happy with them. Its not the best stuff around, but its reasonably priced, has always done afair job for me,and easy to find. In other words its a comfortable choice you know what your getting, like Burger King. No matter where you find yourself there's always one around and its exactly the same as the one around the corner from your house.
Anyway this afternoon I was in the local Advanced Auto and noticed that they had some of the stuff and figured, what the hell the son works there and I can get his employee discount, I'll give it a shot.
Well I have to admit, the stuff works, puts on a really nice streak andresidue free shine and it did it with far less effort than the paste type waxes that I normally use.
It also didn't leave any kind of residue on the leather tank pad edges or the black wrinklefinish painton the engine block behind the chrome primary covers. Even though I did spray some on there accidentally.
So if your looking for something that's quick, residue free, and doesn't need a lot of elbow grease, give it a try. If you don't like it you can always use the rest of the bottle on your favorite truck or car.

RE: Turtle Wax "Ice"?
I use it, and it's great....
I bought it initially to try on a black LT1 Chevy that I own, and it did such a good job I tried in on my Vivid Black FatBoy.
Not sure how many different "flavors" it comes in, but I got the liquid polish, and I'm more than happy with the results.

I just started using it on all of my vehicles...to include the bikes.
Very easy to use, and has great results.
Seems to work best when the temp. is right, as it allows the hazing process to actually take place.
Below is a tank shot after a fresh waxing.
