M8 Oil migration transmission to inner primary

I hate to inform the Moco:
There are other bikes out there you can buy; brand spanking new, and they don't have problems.
I'm still pissed about being hung with footing the bill for my Cam Chain Tensioners upgrade. At least it resolved the issue.
Anti-lock brakes :
I won't buy a Harley with them.
Fix your anti-lock brakes Harley.
Frame brace:
Frame Brace is the next upgrade I'm doing for my 2004 Road King. That should have been resolved by the Moco too, but I'm footing that bill as well.
At least there are fixes available for my old bike.
I bought a new bike to me, just this December.
It wasn't a Harley.
I would have gladly traded in my pristine, well maintained 2004 Road King for a brand new Road King, but no way. Life is complicated enough, without going out and buying a new problem.
So instead I kept my beautiful old Road King, which I trust completely. And I added a beautiful 2010 Goldwing GL1800, which I also trust completely.
Are you listening Harley?
I wanted a brand new Harley.
I can afford, and I have my wife's blessings for a brand new Harley.
No new Harley until Harley fixes their issues.
Buying an extended warranty for the fix?
No way.

Hey guys, I’m still waiting on the delivery of my new 2019 RKS but, after reading all these posts about transfer and Sumping it seems not all but some of these cases could be covered under The Lemon Law. At least in NY which is where I am. I’m curious to know if anyone else from NY is having these issues and has thought about going that route.
As the statute reads the manufacturer or dealer has four attempts to correct the problem and our the bike has been in the shop for a accumulative 30 days or more are grounds to be refunded or replaced.
Just food for thought.

Had 89 FLH bought new. Oil migrated from the primary into the motor. It over filled the motor blowing oil all over. I was on a trip and was told to get a turkey blaster and suck oil out of the tank and put in the primary to get home. Had to put in new cases. Had the valve covers leak. The center sections warped and I had to put in new. Then the base gaskets started leaking. I now have the 91 with a shop rebuilt 98 motor I bought used. It runs like a raped ape, no leaks no problems. Ain’t no way I’m going to start all over with a new one.

Are all your buddies riding touring M8's? Or are there any softail M8's involved?

I work for the largest public utility in the country. A spark plug blew out of a 2002 F250 Ford I was driving. This happens often enough they have a reputation. The shop at work say they repair about 4 vehicles/month for this issue. I calculate about 1% of vehicles based on how many they have in this year group. I say this is completely unacceptable.
Same with this crankcase issue. This should be recalled and fixed for free, no mileage limit. It shouldn't be happening in the first place.
When I bought my 2016 RG the guys at the dealer knew I wasn't going to touch a '17 for a number of reasons. I know why the head is liquid cooled and I don't need the extra complexity and possible issues.
I love my bike and I'm proud to ride it and be seen on it. I was looking at a KTM 1290 Super Duke GT a pal of mine bought. That thing is beyond incredible for many, many reasons. He bought it to tour. $25,000 out the door. Harley is facing tough competition.

Pennsylvania is 3 attempts or in shop for over 30 days. Mine I believe is fixed. Never paid a dime for all the fluid changes or two attempts to fix. My dealer was awesome(Schaeffers OrwigsburgPA) mine runs great transfer fixed PS I always take extended warranty only had to use twice on last three Ultras. Over 150,000 on these bikes. I agree the MOCO has some issues what manufacture doesn’t

To date it appears to only effect the touring models. The touring models have the hydraulic clutch vs. the Softail's cable clutch.
