Default Road king lights

Hi people,,regarding road king police special
Cheers people has anyone tried to rewire lights so driving lights stay on while high beam is on??

on the newer bikes the shop can use computer to make that change. On pre 14 I believe, there is a plug in wire you can buy from harley or kuryakyan that goes in the headlight bucket

I did. Instead of having them come on only with the low beam circuit I wired the ON/OFF switch to a separate power source. I also added an ON/OFF toggle switch to the low beam side of my headlight so I can have all my lights off on startup to lessen the draw on the battery. Leaving the lights off during warm up gives the battery a little extra recharge.

I put this on my Ultra, I'm not sure if it works the same on your bike.

As bpav16 said , if you have a 2014 or newer you can take it in and have it flashed to work that way . If it's 13 or older you can purchase a harness or wire it yourself . Here is a wiring diagram I found . Looks straight forward . Just might do it myself !
