Th MOCO also makes more money on accessories than they do on their bikes. Sure, the bikes are expensive but don't think that the high retail equates to high profit margins..............all the design, engineering, production expenses etc etc etc and so on affect the bottom line on bike sales.

MotorClothes have gigantic markups and initial outlay by HD is small.

I don't know the margins but what do ya think HD has in a long sleeve t-shirt that they retail for between 30-40 bucks?. Probably no more than $7-8. On MOCO accessories HD enjoys huge profit margins.

And, there is precious litle you can't find with HD on it from underwear, baby clothes, bar tending sets, dart boards, pool tables, mini refrigerators and even ceiling fans.

If the company had to survive on bike sales alone they would not make it.

 

The only things i need from Harley Davidson..are a motor and trans....
