[QUOTE=Jeffrey Aal;18073302] ...Now, I am not a draw attention to myself sort of guy. Don’t have spiked, or purple hair, no tattoos, etc. Pretty well buttoned down. So, thinking of keeping the same helmet brand and style. Works well enough. Whilst looking I ran across two with graphics. I ride a silver and black low rider for reference. That got me to thinking…..
Are helmets with graphics, well, stupid? (Trying to be P.C. here ) Does anybody care? If I have to ask.....? It may just be fun to have something totally different."
I'm confused Jeffrey. If you don't "follow trends" (I'm trying to be kind as well ), Why do you care? If YOU like it, buy it! My first inclination though is that you already are having second thoughts on the "cool factor." From personal experience I can tell you that's only likely to get worse with time. Everyone enjoys a compliment, regardless whether your intent is to impress others or not. The flip side is NOBODY wants to be laughed or sneered at regardless how clueless the antagonist may be. Take a long hard look at that thing and YOU decide if it is something YOU want to be identified by/with. As with most things motorcycling, it's a personal choice derived from personal taste.
Me? My PERSONAL opinion? I couldn't care less if someone else wore something like that, but I never would!

Graphics are ok, if you want. I like a lighter color helmet as they reflect UV energy, instead of absorbing it. This makes for a cooler helmet when worn. Also, you might want to have some very basic medical info painted on the back. Things, such as known allergies & blood type can be useful if the "bad event" strikes you.

Graphics are to each. I see you have had some pretty "standard" femme replies. But myself, I don't care. I buy, wear, and use what pleases me. If you find a helmet that appeals to you, by all means buy it. Personally I prefer black, dull, muted helmets. But have gone into bike shops and see all sorts of graphics on helmets these days. So this old man has no like or dislike for graphics on a helmet.

Heck no, the dead of winter, everybody would rather be riding. If this brought some folks a smile, or laugh, we are all one step closer to better weather.
Good point. I suspect it would be noticed? Honestly I have always admired people who can just "send it" with no care. Like Burning Man or other places where they are doing them. Maybe that is the appeal?

Who cares what others think? You like the helmet? Think it's cool? Get it and tell anyone who doesn't like it to buy you the helmet they think you should be wearing. I was going to go the graphic route when looking for a new helmet. Major criteria I went for was "would it fit the style of my bike" so I tended to go for skulls and flat black stuff. Almost settled on this:
But when I tried one on didn't like the fit with the glasses.
