Wheels themselves are ok, bearings are an insult.

Harley's New Castalloy Adelaide factory in Australia made their motorcycle wheels for years, very good quality . Harley was in the process of closing this plant and moving wheel production to China ? Has this plant closed ? Where were my 2106 Harley wheels made ? I do not want my life depending on crap China made wheels . I will buy aftermarket American made wheels . I remember a few years back China was caught using scrap alloys in their car wheels and there were some failures with the US made autos using theses garbage rims .

#1 - We live in a global market. Plain and simple. Get used to it.
#2 - Has anyone CONFIRMED H-D is moving wheel production to China or is this another doom & gloom rumor?
#3 - As has been mentioned by someone else, "made in China" is no longer a blanket guarantee of poor quality! Where it's a Chinese product sold to someone else, you get what they're selling. When it's a product contracted for production in China (or anywhere else!), quality control is all on the buyer. As long as H-D demands and only approves top quality from sub-contractors, it doesn't matter who's foundry it comes out of. In my own lifetime, "made in Japan" carried the same stigma as "made in China" (Malaysia, Thailand, etc.) does today. Yet today and for long before they shook that stigma, Japan was making some of the best products in the world. In short, get over your bias. Stop lumping everyone or everything sharing some irrelevant commonality together as sharing the worst reputation of any individual of the same group. We're all susceptible to that trap!
