To me, it looks a lot like a Honda Magna.

It still looks better than a Road Glide.

This was a cool read... Does anyone know any details about the H-D and Porsche connection? I wondered if it was because of Porsche's air cooled knowledge, but the projects where the company consulted on ended up being liquid cooled...

The only Porsche/HD collaboration I know of is the V-Rod.

And the Nova Project.

Before the M8 was released some people speculated that the new engine was going to be the nova revisited.

Just interesting they'd reach out to Porsche and not a domestic company. Very cool part of H-D's history...

AMC had those bikes ready for production when the employee group bought H-D. The new group did not have the resources to launch them and engineer a new air cooled bike. So they made a decision to go ahead and come out with the Evolution bike.

I wonder what today would be like if they had went with the 500 cc V2, 1,000 cc V4, and the 1,500 cc V6?

The top bike was a V6 not the V4.

The reason the went with Porsche was that they have a plant to design and build one off engines. H-D was not the only company that they built prototypes for.
