I like chrome, when is tastefully done and not over the top. I think things changed with cars starting to paint wheels black few years ago and it just cascaded to bikes. I am biased though, and I like blacked out look. However, a nice balance of both looks nice. I think on older bikes, that are more classic, it would not look good all blacked out.

I always hear what a PITA the chrome is to clean, but Im not seeing it. Spray down with S-100, rinse and dry with forced air = no streaks or water marks - 15 minutes to make my RK shine like new.
I only need to “polish” the chrome once a year, and I usually do that in the winter when its sitting in the garage.
