Nothing wrong with chrome. Hang around it will be the latest rage again soon. Marketing , they push the black many jump onboard replace a bunch of parts to be cool. after awhile boring something else comes along it starts all over.

I had never opened the ad before today, but something similar has been advertised on Craig's List in an expanded search of my home area for the whole 5+ years we've been here. This is the only pic of the bike......

.......

.....And that's because the ad is actually for a chroming shop in Fullerton, CA. They're not selling that bike, just chroming the pieces used to build it, or a facsimile thereof.

Either way, seems like a cool idea, except, as someone else said, on really bright sunny days. I think I'd probably go blind within a week, maybe a month, of acquiring something like these, but no tellin' how many other riders could break their necks turning to get a good look as they go by.

It's funny how the definition of "old school" and "traditional" can vary so much from person to person. Those words always make me think of a time when chrome was relatively expensive and most of the things that we take for granted as being chromed were actually painted black to keep the costs down. Chrome parts were just used as accents to save production costs. I personally like a mix of chrome and blacked out parts.
