I agree with you. I upgraded to my latest bike and I have a lot of chrome to clean. I really don't care for the new bike all blacked out either but to each his own. HD is trying to hit some j=kind of nerve to get the young kids attentions and start buying. What I see is and don't think is right is this if you take a new CVO with blacked out wheels and all the rest of a new CVO that figure like a 2015 CVO (both touring) seems to me you HD is making more $$ now on the same bike due to a more blacked out look. Its all about hitting the right demographics today and making money. The older generation was the chrome one and the younger generation is the blacked out look. just my opinion of course.

Fads come and go, but Chrome is always in style!! Actually, I've seen some blacked-out bikes that look good, but one thing I absolutely HATE are all black rims, especially spoked rims. They look like some 3 year old found a can of black spray paint in the garage and decided to "paint daddy's wheels"!
