That not a good choice. Different bikes. Need 2 like bikes. One chromed out, one black.

since you're asking, the fat boy looks better, imo. the first thing that kills the roadking is the paint. the tank looks like it's from a different bike altogether.

What I see is and don't think is right is this if you take a new CVO with blacked out wheels and all the rest of a new CVO that figure like a 2015 CVO (both touring) seems to me you HD is making more $$ now on the same bike due to a more blacked out look. Its all about hitting the right demographics today and making money. The older generation was the chrome one and the younger generation is the blacked out look. just my opinion of course.
Agreed, and my question is: How many of the younger generation have $40K to spend on a CVO. CVO's used to have great paint schemes and lots of chrome. Now, they (FLHXSE anyway) have ugly paint and only one isn't blacked out. That's why I still have my 2010. Would like the new engine and suspension but not enough to ride what I consider to be a way overpriced bike that I don't like the look of. I don't expect I will every buy another Harley. Just keep riding what I've got and when it dies I'll replace the engine or get something else.

‘Old Horse’ has more chrome on it than any other machine that I’ve ever owned. It’s a pain to keep clean, as are the whitewalls, but it really gleams when the sun is out.

I like a blend of black and chrome. Next winter my project will be changing the aluminum to chrome. I prefer cleaning chrome vise aluminum.

I love chrome!! The only issue I ever have with it is the time to keep it shiny and the money I spend on every product I come across to cut down this time lol

Fads come and go, but Chrome is always in style!! Actually, I've seen some blacked-out bikes that look good, but one thing I absolutely HATE are all black rims, especially spoked rims. They look like some 3 year old found a can of black spray paint in the garage and decided to "paint daddy's wheels"!
