Some pretty cool handiwork in these here parts! My dear friend Jack Daniels has some cool stuff. My son bought me an "Old No. 7" timing cover in Myrtle this past May. Might have to get the a/c cover to match.

WS6,

How did you fabricate this from the stock AC cover? Looks like you cut it out. What did you use to get teh insert out and the edges looking so good? Looks great. I'd like to know how you got the insert out of the cover looking so clean?

Cutting the center out like Ultra did on his bike, but I think you just answered my question.

Thanks. Does it offer all the protection needed?
Marsh
Protection as far as what??? All it does is sit on the end of the filter.

Did you have to trim the football cover and use it as a spacer? Any issues in rain? Looks cool.
Don't follow you. What do you mean trim the footbal cover??? This is meant to replace the center circle of the football air cleaner. As far as rain I have never had an issue and have been caught in several downpours.

Bought mine off of Ebay, inexpensive and looks good, no bling, no Harley logo. Fits Screaming Eagle Stage One.

I'm running the HD Nostaglic "Bar & Shield" cover on my '03 Softail. (PN 29138-91).

It's made for the EVO engines, but will also work with the later TC engines if you have the SE air filter upgrade.

Now that's my favorite round cover. [sm=smiley20.gif]

I still prefer the football to any other cover. There are many different inserts you can choose from and it has more pleasing lines compared to others IMHO. I vote to keep the football.

I'm gonna order one of the "Infinity" covers from Kuryakyn. I think they look great! Not really a "light person", but these are intriguing.
