I met and got to ride down A1A a little ways beside him this same rally. He was genuinely nice and the real deal. The other Build Off guys that were there were mainly jerks. RIP Larry.

Never liked the bikes from that era, but still miss it. The way custom bike building was such a big part of the national culture was cool.

I met JJ in Daytona one year. I was wearing a Moto Guzzi t-shirt. 4 or 5 years later I went to work in California..I found his shop and was on a 97 Guzzi..When he heard a Guzzi rider had stopped in, he came out from the back. Apparently, I had one the same grey Moto Guzzi shirt as our first meeting. He related to the counter guy that I chatted with him in Daytona. I am 6'7",300 pounds, and ride Guzzi's, so I stick out in some crowds. But I was suprised that a celebrity remembered me. Well, I believe he remember Guzzi more than me.

But he showed me his shop and the current projects. The Shaq bike was in the shop then.

I like how he fabricated stuff.

I like the bike as a novelty. If I had a warehouse, and a motor vehicle collection, and someone wanted to give that bike to me ........................

Not as a daily ride, but, you know.
