A pant quandry....

RE: A pant quandry....
Thanks all,
When I left this morning for the gym, it was 38 degrees outside - that sealed it for the chaps! I searched all over town, and I couldn't find any overpants I remotely liked, but I did find a decent lined pair of chaps for $70 at a local cycle accessories store. So, they found a new home, a new length and I'll hopefully be toasty in the morning!

Chaps or anykind of leather pants are designed to protect the skin in the event of a spill. Waterproofed pants are just another version of rain pants (designed more for weather protection). Get the leathers for protection and buy yourself a rainsuit (you can wear over your leathers)... Both are neccessary and worth every penny. This would be alot more versatile. On hot days, when you stop, you can take your leathers off. On wet days, you can put your rainsuit on only when needed.
Just keep in mind...either way...these articles won't protect you unless your wearing them!

Ok, Brian....You got my attention and I order a pair of over pants from Jammin Leather. Already received a shipping confirmation and should have 'em about Tuesday.
That'll be good...60's this weekend, but downhill from there!

Cool weather = chaps....hands down.....
Cold weather = silk long johns, knee high thinsulate/wool socks, jeans, chaps and my harley boots
Rain = find a Waffle House or Cracker Barrel, order coffee, light up a smoke, eat and wait for it to clear.
We have good HD rain gear and have only been caught 3x in the rain in 18k miles.
