Loud pipes & speeds - Pennsylvania and West Virginia

I've lived in PA all my life, and agree with what everyone above said. The only thing I can add is watch out for potholes, especially if you're coming through in the spring. And the other thing is deer. They are as dumb as rocks but unlike rocks they'll jump right out in front of you.
Small towns have bored cops so do what the sign says. You will be fine.

I can tell you from experience, cops look for drivers that stick out from the crowd.

back in the late 70's when stationed in the bay area, the posted speed on freeways was 55 then but if you were going 55, everyone including the CHP's would fly past you at at least 70.

Cheers all. I appreciate the responses and I am the last guy you will ever see revving a motorcycle.
Will do. I'm meeting the guys tomorrow to discuss details and will let you know.
We know pot holes and deer all too well here.
Stock V&H Big Radius. I haven't modified it.

I run V&H straight shots, no baffles and never have a problem. In WV, other than the interstates, there's not a lot of roads where you can really exceed the speed limit by a lot and do it safely. We just don't have any straight roads. In towns stay at the limit, otherwise, stay with the flow of traffic. If the limit is 70 mph, you won't have any trouble running 80 just to keep up. If you're on 19 and go roaring through Summersville doing 70, you might as well get out your checkbook. Hwy 19 really is a beautiful ride, but stay at the limit in and around the small towns. All are speed traps no matter where you're from.
And beware of the deer.
