Here on the left coast speed limits are just suggestions. If you are not doing 70-75 you are a traffic hazard

I live in NH, 15 over on the highway is accepted. 16 and you will get a ticket. yes PA has an abundance of deer more so than any state I have traveled through.
Small towns have bored cops so do what the sign says. You will be fine.

Do you have any baffles at all in your pipes?

Also worth noting, going 10 mph over the limit in a 25 zone is not the same as going 10 mph over the limit in a 70 mph zone.

Situational awareness, always. Don’t outrun the locals and be obnoxious with the throttle and no worries.

California speeders are making up time for the other part of the drive in stop-n-go traffic.
I can tell you from experience, cops look for drivers that stick out from the crowd.

back in the late 70's when stationed in the bay area, the posted speed on freeways was 55 then but if you were going 55, everyone including the CHP's would fly past you at at least 70.

Cheers all. I appreciate the responses and I am the last guy you will ever see revving a motorcycle.

We know pot holes and deer all too well here.

Stock V&H Big Radius. I haven't modified it.

I have ridden in those states aplenty. Like said, especially mind the small town restrictions and act sensible. Ride through and enjoy the scenery, which is plentiful when you take the proper routes.

Good rule of thumb that always served me well (if I heeded it). Out of state plates, behave like a choirboy.

I run V&H straight shots, no baffles and never have a problem. In WV, other than the interstates, there's not a lot of roads where you can really exceed the speed limit by a lot and do it safely. We just don't have any straight roads. In towns stay at the limit, otherwise, stay with the flow of traffic. If the limit is 70 mph, you won't have any trouble running 80 just to keep up. If you're on 19 and go roaring through Summersville doing 70, you might as well get out your checkbook. Hwy 19 really is a beautiful ride, but stay at the limit in and around the small towns. All are speed traps no matter where you're from.
And beware of the deer.
