They're here in town! Maybe 14,000 Wing Dingers, for the 3rd. time in 7 years their national is being held here.

Observations:
A. As always, very nice folks.
B. All motel rooms/college dorm, etc. rooms for 100+ miles are booked up.
C. Huge amounts of money leaking out of saddle bags and being spent.
D. The percentage of Honda trikes has shotWAY up.. not just new ones but retro-kits.
E. Most common color seems to be bright yellow or canary yellow.
F. The streets are very, very quiet. Now that's weird & spooky!
G. The wave has disappeared.
H. The Wing Ding Fashion Thing show was apparently a big hit!! Racing stripes are still an in thing?
I. Look out Yellowstone & Glacier when they all leave here!
J. It's supposed to be 103F tomorrow during the grand parade... nekkid Gold Wingers?[]
K. There's enough lights on some wings to put a low-rider to shame.
L. A bunch of tourist H-D's just went by the office window... ahhhh, I'm not deaf after all!

 

I used to wave to all bikes, since Wings and the BMW's are to good for usI now watch for them and don't wave.[:'(]

So all the Dairy Queens are standing room only and all the walmarts are sold out of little stuffed animals and bungy cords. Big deal.

 

Last weekend between Omaha and Kansas City we must have met at least 30 northbound Wing trikes (and countless other normal Wings). I told my wife there must be a rally somewhere, now I know! LOTS of trikes!

 

trikes are becoming a BIG thing everywhere. The second Saturday of every month we have our BBQ here at the Harley dealership. Out of 100 bikes that show up I bet I can count 8-12 trikes. No kidding. Ill take pics next time.

Watch out for that new mobile DUI truck patrolling the roads of Montana.

 

A LOT of them have come through my neck of the woods heading down there..

 

I saw that big honkin DUI truck. It has everything except jail cells! Or maybe it does. An entrance door at one end of the mobile unit and an exit at the other... and who knows what the hell they are doing to people in between the two in that big ol truck. Man, what a rig! Apparently they will target special events and holidays and park/set it up and then LEO's team-working the area will shuttle perps to the parked truck.
