I really can't say enough good things about heated grips. Currently I'm using HotGrips brand grips that I bought on E-bay for $50. I've tried a bunch of different gloves, and layering gloves and all that, but never found a solution that was warm enough while still being comfortable and maintaining feel on the controls. They're particularly good for those warm afternoon rides that turn into chilly evening rides, because you dont have to stop to change gloves, (or add another layer of gloves) or even remember to bring those other gloves with you.
