Thumbs up LED Tail Light

Yes, HD parts are too expensive, but they always fit and are good quality; so, I bought and installed the LED tail light yesterday on my 2017 Superlow 1200T. It is a very easy install (less than 10 minutes) as long as you carefully follow the wiring instructions. The brightness of the brake light is a major safety enhancement; people following you can't miss seeing the brake light--particularly during bright sunlight. The combination of the LED head light and tail light really improved the light capability on my bike over OEM lights.

You’re thinking is right on as to the LED’s, and normally I’ll stick with the MoCo on accessories. However, my experience has been that Custom Dynamics has superior lighting with a fantastic lifetime warranty. Seven years ago I bought turns and brakes off of them and have transferred them to 3 new bikes since. On two occasions, one recently, they warrantied a lamp with no hassle. I don’t generally endorse products, but these folks really stand by their promises.

Not knocking your choice, just posting my experiences. Enjoy the new scoot - sounds awesome!

As an FYI- I too like CD products. Having said that, for a cheap upgrade, I put an LED 3157 bulb from an auto parts store to replace the stock HD incandescent one.

Even if the parts are made there, the company is based in North Carolina. Top notch customer service whenever I've had to contact them, they really do make a quality product.

Not advocating the purchasing of Chinese goods, however have you researched where a significant portion of the parts on your ride come from today ... as mentioned Custom Dynamics is a stand up organization with customer satisfaction at the top of their list

You won't find a better LED product or a better customer service than Custom Dynamics period.

Since you already have the LED tail light, pick up some rear LED turn signal inserts and the custom dynamics triple play. If visibility and grabbing the attention from distracted drivers behind you is the mission....this is the route to take.

A well-done video of a guy setting this up on his RoadKing.

I bought a Custom Dynamics integrated taillight for my Fat Boy because the saddle bags I wanted to use hit the stock turn signals and I didn't like the relocation kits I looked at. I really like that light and like others have said, it is quality made.

Kinda glad I had the fitment issue because otherwise I probably wouldn't have looked at the LED taillight option. Sure like it now that I have it.
