In '15 the wife was ready to get rid of her Heritage. She wanted leather bags but not black. We ended up at the Indian shop and she picked out a Chief with a brown seat and matching bags. Like the front fender or not, the brown accessories are stunning. Brown is a nice change.

 

Here's a black & tan. The bike is still a work in progress. Just waiting my gas tank to finish paint and a re-upholstered pillion, sissy bar pad and tank panel. Got a tan La Rosa fork bag on the way also.

Black Shoes.....brown belt...Nope !!.....black purse....brown shoes...nope !!!! black bike...brown seat...nope !!!

 

You asked for an opinion ... I have a good friend who has a Street Glide ( black, of course ) and a brown seat ... Doesn't do anything for me.

 

I like the change of pace, Major. It's something different. I own an all black bike and I appreciate something a little out of the ordinary.

 

I think it kinda works. My first Harley was a '41 80" flattie chop flat black with a blood red cobra seat. Looked awesome; rode like crap.

 

No way I'd put a brown seat on a black motorcycle. Or any other color motorcycle for that matter. People would laugh. Check out Indians and Honda Gold Wings. I think they do it.

Note the brown swingarm bag. Both items are stock Harley on my 2009 FXDF, which was submerged during Superstorm Sandy. Both items were removed, de-salted, and put on my 2011 FXDWG.
