when is too loud, too loud?
I've got a neighbor with a really loud heritageDeluxe and he just loves to make sure everyone else knows exactly how loud it is! BUT… I have a 3 month old baby that gets woken up at least twice a day by this guy! Now usually I don’t mind hearing him try to blow the guts out of his twin cam 88 (because he gases it right out his garage so sooner or later he is going to blow aseal that way!)
But now I have an issue with him… he did a blow by on my wife and 3 month old daughter while they were out on a walk and not only did he scare them with the noise but he got real close to them as he went by! I won’t go into to how much I want to beat the snot out him but I want it to stop![:@]
So what would you do?

Set his house on fire? [8D] I'd just go over and tell him what you just said. Tell him you have a bike too, but he's riding like an azz. But in a nice way.......

Try a fishing line across the road. (just joking)
It seems to me that jerks like that are unreasonable and disrespectful to the point that talking to them is useless. They're the ultimate poser that contribute greatly to the negative attitude many people have towards motorcycles. I wish you luck in trying to resolve the problem.

My bike's loud. I would never rev my engine in my driveway or perform ahigh speed pass byanyone on the street.
If you approach him be cordial. If he's a d!ck head, file a complaint with your local constable. Don't take the law into your own hands.

yes that is the voice of reason... I am half temped to go to my other neighbor (the Motorcycle LEO) and ask him to go regulate with me. But I think that might be a little cowardly and could back fire on me

I think he is a rub... I saw him a couple days ago pull over after about a mile to strap his helmet on (talk about a tool!) and then he cut some guy off when he pulled back out! the funny thing was the guy he cut off had a huge HD sticker on the back window of his truck... talk about disrespectful!
I dig the knife idea!

If I had a LEO for a neighbor I would feel foolish not taking advantage of the benefit. Nothing cowardly about it. I'm sure the LEO could speak to the guy in the first person. After all, he's probably irritated by it also. In fact, I would wonder why the LEO hasn't done something already.
