Best Motorcycle Roads in your area...
I jsut came across a post with a windy road on a map in it and thought about starting this post. Let's all list some of the best motorcycling roads in our respective areas. A few come to mind for me. Let's start with Angeles Crest Hwy or Hwy 2, and Angeles Forest Hwy as well. It's been a couple of years since I have been to "The Crest" but it is always fun.
Then out to Malibu/Calabasas for Mulholland Hwy, Latigo Canyon, Stunt Road, Las Flores Canyon, Encinal Canyon(best high speed run in Malibu) Decker Canyon, Yerba Buena Rd, and the list goes on. These are a few of my old regulars for a Sunday morning. I am sure I have fogotten a few, but look them up and you will see. I am indeed lucky to have such great roads within a short ride from my home.

Hard to even start this list! Up here in the Sonoma/Napa County area, there are hundreds of miles of beautiful roads, from high-speed curves to tight goat tracks. Most of these are pretty empty of cars, too. This area is actually quite popular with pro bicycling teams for training, so at times there can be packs of them to dodge. From Santa Rosa, I can do 200-300 mile loops without going near highway 101. It's close to being 2-wheeled paradise!

Talimena Drive--Talihina, OK to Mena, AR. 54 miles on the mountain ridges, plenty of curves, wonderful views. Great lodging at the Queen Wilhelmina Lodge midroute.

Wisconsin is F-L-A-T. Lots of corn rows to look at though.
The nearest twisty road in my area is highway 55 going through the Menominee reservation (50 miles), the trees and twisties start at the reservation line and end at the other end of the reservation. the Menominee Indians had the right idea in preserving the natural wilderness in this area.
Although, I could always head down to the South West corner of the state and hang out with JB and his roads (kick as$ area about 200 miles away).
Great link Neckball! I have used this multiple times when planning our trips over the years and I highly recommend that anyone going out of state to look here for the best roads in the area you plan to visit.

I try to stay away from the windy roads. I hate the dust in my eyes and always having to watch for cross winds...wait......OHHHHHHH you meant winding roads, curvy roads, twisty roads....
