I jsut came across a post with a windy road on a map in it and thought about starting this post. Let's all list some of the best motorcycling roads in our respective areas. A few come to mind for me. Let's start with Angeles Crest Hwy or Hwy 2, and Angeles Forest Hwy as well. It's been a couple of years since I have been to "The Crest" but it is always fun.
Then out to Malibu/Calabasas for Mulholland Hwy, Latigo Canyon, Stunt Road, Las Flores Canyon, Encinal Canyon(best high speed run in Malibu) Decker Canyon, Yerba Buena Rd, and the list goes on. These are a few of my old regulars for a Sunday morning. I am sure I have fogotten a few, but look them up and you will see. I am indeed lucky to have such great roads within a short ride from my home.

I live in Central MA, so I have a couple of rides I like to do:
Going west US9 from the Brookfields to Pittsfield is great. All types of different scenes, from quaint downtonws where you can gas up and grab a meal, to long twisties that go past a beautiful river cut into the Berkshire Mountains.
Going North Rte 31 from US20 to Wachusett Mountain is nice. Nice sencery, no traffic, lots of nice homes to look at. The ride up and view from the mountain is worth it.
Going South Rte 169 or 198 from Strurbridge/Southbridge are nice and scenic. No traffic, lots of forest and small town views. Both will bring you to Rte 6 in CT which will take you to the Bach Dor - best biker bar around!
Going east Rte 16 from 146 is nice. It'll bring you to Milford and 495 for the highway ride home. Lots of ice cream joints and bars on 16 through some nice small, towns.
