Yes my intentions are well meant aspecialy this one:
No group of riders is perfect, but one thing that is
totally wrong with motorcycles and their riders today
vs the 60's and 70's is" Back then ALL riders stuck
together, they were ALL brothers and sisters no matter
what each other rode or how they rode. There was a
RESPECT betweenALL Bikers/Motorcyclests,there
was non of this wrothless finger pointing (Them against Us)
mentality!
Riders need to wake up and relize there is NO"
(Them and Us)there is only WE Brothers and
Sisters that love motorcycles!

.For those of you that only know Chuck from texts he posts here, you can hardly understand the good natured and passionate person he is with a genuine concern for all riders.
There are riders of ALL types of bikes that do dumb stuff, and drunks can look just like any of us at any time. They are ALL hazards, ALL of the time. You all have very valid points.
Glad we're all still here to talk about it for as long as we all have left. Ride on.

Find all this interesting. In my younger days I rode the **** out of a hopped up RD400 on the country roads of east Texas. In the last of the ten yrs I owned the thing, I laid it down 3 times. I packed up my Kenny Roberts gear and sold it to another. I bought an 80 FLT and rode it almost as crazy. The adrenaline high from those antics is addicting and when taking a 45 mph curve at 80 there is no thought of death, just making the line. The chopper I finally built can't drag pegs nor pull wheelies but will exceed 100 mph with ease. An added benefit is that if I'm too drunk to kick start it, I'm too drunk to ride it. I'm content to cruise with no bruise. I've finally got back to the comfort zone I rode in in the 70's.

Anyway, I was talking with a couple of these guys a few weeks back and around here the word is getting out. They don't want to kill themsleves either despite what many of us might like to think. A lot of these guys have skills and no place to use them so they are now thinking of petitioning the Legislators of this stupid State to create some place where they can do their thing and not be in Heavy Trafiic.
As for your experience, I witnessed a very similar situation and was deeply concerned for the Rider's safety but what could I do? They get into accidents and for those of us who ride responsibly, the overall effects us s well like Helmet Laws and higher Insurance Rates. The State Patrol Officers will tell you that 85% of all motorcycle accidents involve Metric Bikes. Everybody knows it but these companys build these bikes to go a buck 60 with no problem. What bothers me most of all is when I see a guy fly by on his Rocket with a beautiful young cue looking girlfriend sitting on the back totally & seemingly unaware of what can & probably will happen at some point if our buddy doesn't slow down a bit. BUT who is going to tell them to slow down when they have the power to do what we think is unthinkable?
Every chance you get to communicate to these guys to use better judgement will promote a single thought in their heads that might save a life someday so Rant On my friend. I agree with you ...

You don't happen to live in Rancho Santa Margarita do you? I see this guy every morning coming to work! cuts in front of every car... pops whealies, drags his knee aroud every turn... blah blah blah makes other motorcyclists look bad! The thing that really gets me is this stupid little hand signal he does when heis stopping at the traffic light after cutting every one off... he totally knows he is pissing people off... CHAPS MY HIDE!

loud pipes at the wee hours of the morning waking

what Crotch Rocket riders are doing they never take
a look in the mirror to see how stupid and ignorant

Worst place I have seen these bozo's with a death wish is the Dragon. Theyt pass in blind curves in no passing zones, doing very high rates of speed. I was on the Dragon Sunday, in a cage with my family, and had at least 15 rice rockets fly by, and I was doing the speed limit.
No matter that they have the power to do so, but how about respecting the LAW?? and letting others enjoy thier ride too??
Saw one Ultra with passenger nearly go down trying to get out of these idiots way. Its uneccessary, its stupid, and I hope every last one of them get pulled over by the Law and taken to task for thier actions. Maybe it'll save a few lives..

yeah, whats important is to make motorcyclists look good to the CAR drivers, after all, they're the ones who matter. if you have a bike, its better to leave it in the garage where it wont offend anyone.
motorcycles suck! they chap my hide too. pickup trucks rool!
