Default Profile wire wheels???

Did a search and could not find anything.

Does anyone know of problems with the HD Profile wire wheels cracking???

I was on a ride this last week, and one of the guys on an Ultra Classic had a flat. Turns out that the wheel was cracked.

I have the profile wheels and am considering replacing them with some type of cast.

No problems w/ my Profile wires, I got about 10K on the bike, they look great & work fine,

Sounds like a freak accident, bad wheel

My bike (1200C) came with a cast rear and laced front. When I bent the front wheel on a rock I took the opportunity to replace it with a cast. That was I have tubeless on front and back for plug and go in case of a flat.

I've got 22,000 on mine with no problems, but just thought I would throw it out there since it did happen.

9,000 miles on chrome profile laced. No cracks or flats. I can't afford to replace them. I am blown away by the cost of solid wheels. Chrome over $1,000 and mags over $500 (approx.). I will ride them until they rust away.

From what I'm hearing the laced wheels on the new scoots can't handle any kind of real bumps & potholes. The rims seem to be too weak & warp & bend easily.
