That "pod" that hangs down in the wind under your chin is where the microphone is. That might work in your cubicle at work, but at 75 mph, and $140? Uuhhh...no.

Earbuds.
With road noise, plus wind and motor I'd think sealing
to the ear is the best comment along with all day comfort.
How much accuracy/ tone would one expect on a motorcycle?
OP is happy, awesome research and find!

....but with any of them, how do you guys answer a phone call?
Buds are under the helmet(inaccessible). Phone is in an inside pocket.
Am I missing something obvious?

With my current earbuds it's nigh on impossible to answer a call (the mic/button is right at the bottom of the chin strap, where it exits my helmet.(it's outside, but barely)
With even thin gloves on it's a crap shoot whether I can get the teeny-tiny button pushed once and only once (or I hang up the call).
It's debatable whether anyone can hear me, cuz the mic is actually outside the helmet.,

I need the mic somewhere inside the helmet and a big ol' pushbutton the size of a smartie (or larger) hanging down by my chest, that I could clip on my jacket that I can operate with gloves.

I am good with wires and soldering, etc. Maybe I should just build something?

I have earbuds with the little mics on the end. I lower my chin to my chest and I am able to use Goggle assistant, but I can't imagine trying to talk to someone on it.

But back to OP, 139$ is crazy for ear buds, which I tend to lose or break.

Found these BT ear buds on Amazon, have a deep bass, clear crisp sound right up to 70-75 mph . I never used the mic or answer calls , so not sure how that would work but i dont care to answer phone when riding. Just use them for music on my iphone. About $27 work great

My Shoei Neotech is too tight to wear buds with anything behind the ear. I have to take my sunglasses off before putting on helmet, or taking it off.

I hear ya brother.....me too....believe me, but I am on call 24/7-7 for medical purposes so MUST answer the phone if it rings. No choice in the matter.
ATM, my only option :-( is to NOT RIDE that week. (about 1week out of 5 currently, which super sux in our limited season up here.)

If I could find an option to answer perhaps one or two calls per week while on the bike, I think that would be OK.

Even if it was just to say "hello, <my name< speaking....can I call you back in 1 minute?"...that would work.

p.s.-if I could find a nice pair of buds like this, I could snowblow the driveway and mow the lawn with the same ones. Currently I have to leave my phone inside with a family member (when I'm on call) as I can't hear it ring performing any of these very loud tasks or riding.
