Fees associated with new Harely these days?

If the quote doesn't include VIN number, they say there was a misunderstanding about which bike is was the customer got a quote for.
I just came up with possibilities as I responded to the post.
Yes, I bought a new vehicle in the past. Never a Harley, though.

Bait and switch when a person shows up to pay and pick up the vehicle. They could say they forgot a fee they have no control over, or there was a misunderstanding when giving the quote, or claim the deal included the customer agreeing to buy a certain amount of accessories/clothes.

Depends on "how badly" you want the bike. If you tell them it's always been your dream to own an HD, then prepare to get screwed like "mrbeans" did here on this site.
However, if you go "cool & calm" and you give them a "don't really care if I get a bike or not" attitude, you'll find they maybe willing to cut/eliminate those extra fees, just to convince you to buy a bike.
And yes, they need you more than you need them....

I bought my 2018 softail for $1000 below MSRP plus a $75 doc fee. Wasn't charged freight, prep or any other fees. In addition I was given $1000 over KBB trade in value for my trade.
Oh and I almost forgot to mention that I also used the $1500 certificate that Harley offered for the purchase of a 2018 softial.
